Semester Final Project
Title: Number one Cause of Death?
For my final semester project I will
be conducting a research topic on trending issues around the world using previous visualizations technique that I learn
this semester. For my visualization work I will utilize plot.ly and tablue to
correlates with my research investigation. One of the trending topic that I’m
interested in investigating is the number one cause of death in the world or
the united states.
According
to Center for Disease Control and Prevention, (CDC) heart disease is the number
rated cause of death in United States. Its reported that about 610,000 people
had suffer heart disease or heart attack per year. Both gender parties are
subject to heart disease where as men and African American or black people suffer
more from it. So I would be evaluating which race have a high percentage of death
and the risk that leads up to having heart disease.
Using the data from the CDC website : (https://www.cdc.gov/heartdisease/facts.htm) I use Part- to-whole to created a pie chart that evaluate and visualizes different ethics race that are most affected by heart diseases. and the results were shocking to see that the two race that affected the most is the blacks and and non- Hispanics compare to others races such as Asians or Pacific Islanders. though Pie chart is not the most effective visualizations but its good to use when you are presenting a small data .
From the above picture you can clear see the factors that contributes the cause of hear diseases from where it listed obesity as the number cause of obesity follow by physical inactivity such as not doing exercise, or activity to keep your arteries from clogging up. along that comes high blood pressure which i think is on the rise of become a major risk to cause heart attacks or heart disease in the United states.
After thoroughly investigating my research question as to what is the number one cause of death in the United States, I came to a conclusion that heart disease is the number one cause death in america and the African american and Hispanics are the most one at risk of getting heart diseases. all factors lead up to poor dieting, obesity, and many more unhealthy factors.
